MOH’s Deputy of Research and Technology visits Isfahan Healthcare City

Dr. Reza Malekzadeh, the Ministry of Health’s Deputy of Research and Technology, visited Isfahan Healthcare City on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

During the visit, Dr. Malekzadeh visited Poursina Hakim Clinic and while addressing the clinic’s personnel he insisted on the importance of team work and refrainment from individualism and declared that: “Special attention has been given to organizations like Poursina Hakim Clinic so that they can grow and thus, solving the problems of these units is on the agenda”.

During this meeting, Dr. Sayyed Mohammad Hassan Emami, Head of Poursina Hakim Clinic, pointed out that “the process of obtaining a license for our clinic lasted for 10 years and today, along with educational activities such as organizing meetings and congresses with the participation of people and patients, endoscopy procedures are carried out close to two thousand times every year at the clinic”.

Dr. Emami noted the high costs of keeping up with the latest standards and emphasized the necessity of centers offering clinical services being rated by the Ministry of Health.

He also mentioned that government involvement is another existing problem as it makes the government a rival for private institutions and NGOs which offer services.

As declared by the head of Poursina Hakim Clinic, consultation and treatment in the fields of gastroenterology, psychiatry, general surgery, and oncology is offered and procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, enteroscopy, ERCP, colon hydrotherapy, breathing tests, manometry, Esophageal pH monitoring, and biofeedback are carried out at the clinic.
